iRentCar Streamlines DevOps and Lowers Costs Using Cloudflare

iRentCar Mobility Services
With the rise of smart transportation, evolving consumer behavior, and expanded mobility needs, iRentCar Mobility Services was founded in January 2019 to support Hotai and Toyota’s long-term MaaS (Mobility as a Service) strategy. The company aims to become a leading brand in integrated real-time mobility services by expanding its vehicle rental solutions and pioneering new car-sharing models that reshape the car rental landscape.
iRentCar currently offers five major services: in-store car rentals, iRent car sharing, iRent scooter sharing, ride-hailing, and parking services. By not only providing transportation tools but also innovating usage models, Hiyun helps maximize the efficiency of shared mobility resources—fulfilling the needs of a wide range of users across leisure, tourism, and business.
Looking ahead, iRentCar plans to expand and integrate more services while continuing to create new momentum for growth, delivering on its commitment to customer-centric mobility solutions.
Cloudflare Solutions in Action
By adopting Cloudflare, iRentCar not only reduced infrastructure costs while maintaining service quality but also benefited from developer-friendly features. For example, we used Cloudflare Pages to achieve continuous deployment and cut down on costs that would have otherwise been spent on Azure App Services. This allowed us to deploy applications to edge nodes in just minutes.
Given the scale of our website and the number of teams managing its features, we created a streamlined solution for team members without Cloudflare admin access. By leveraging Cloudflare’s API, we built a PowerShell script using the cache purge API and scoped tokens—packaged into an executable file. This allows junior IT staff to clear cache independently, reducing the risk of account or password exposure while maintaining proper permission control.
With Cloudflare's ever-evolving product lineup, we're continually exploring new possibilities for our cloud architecture.
