STARLUX Airlines Secures and Accelerates Website with Imperva and Leyun Support

STARLUX Airlines
Founded by Chang Kuo-wei, STARLUX Airlines officially launched in 2020 and quickly gained a loyal following with its premium boutique branding. As the digital front door of the airline, the official website plays a critical role in customer experience and brand communication, storing flight histories and personal information for all members and passengers.
In an industry where flight safety is paramount, cybersecurity is held to the same high standard. STARLUX collaborated with Gaia Information Technology and Leyun Inc. to implement the Imperva CDN system on its website, ensuring a seamless, secure, and high-quality experience from browsing to booking — all while safeguarding against cyberattacks and data breaches.

Launch Day Peak Traffic: Nearly 1Gbps Bandwidth, 55,000 Concurrent Visits
The launch of STARLUX ticket sales in December 2019 was a major event in the aviation world. On the first day alone, the site experienced a surge of nearly 55,000 concurrent users, with more than 1,000 requests per second and peak bandwidth close to 1 Gbps. Imperva’s CDN delivered both acceleration and protection during this crucial period.
Statistics show that Imperva offloaded over 638GB of traffic, achieving a cache hit ratio of 78.6%. Nearly 80% of all content was served directly through Imperva’s edge network, keeping the site responsive and the booking system fully operational—avoiding downtime even under intense demand.
Imperva Delivers Real-Time Acceleration and Security for Aviation
As aircraft rely on fuel and crew coordination to fly, websites in the cloud require dependable acceleration and protection systems. Imperva, supported by distributor Gaia Information and cloud integration partner Leyun Inc., helped STARLUX implement a robust content delivery and security architecture.
With 24/7 professional technical support, flexible pricing, and efficient operations, STARLUX’s website remains smooth, responsive, and secure—aligning with the company’s long-term commitment to operational excellence and customer trust.
