VIDEO PAI – Empowering Video Creation for Everyone

Founder Lai Li-Hsueh shared that back in 2013, while helping the Institute for Information Industry research business models in Taiwan’s microfilm sector, she discovered two key insights:

1. Short videos are like sails in the digital world — they can carry content from all industries to the global market.

2. Video storytelling can rapidly drive digital transformation across traditional sectors — including e-commerce, tourism, healthcare, government, and non-profit organizations.

After eight years of deep research and education in the digital media field, Lai founded the brand "Video Maker" in 2017. The team has trained thousands of first-time creators across Greater China in industries such as media, retail, education, finance, public services, and more — becoming Taiwan’s largest hands-on video training team for beginners.

Powered by Amazon Web Services

In 2019, the team began its digital transformation journey. By March 2020, “VIDEO PAI” was officially launched, aiming to turn years of research and hands-on teaching into scalable online products and services that could reach markets across all five continents.

Positioned as “Your Personal Video Coach,” VIDEO PAI focuses on guiding beginners from zero to one in video production. Their team combines microfilm production professionals, training experts, web developers, and system engineers — supported by AWS cloud services provided by Leyun Inc.

To support fluctuating traffic demands, Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) provides scalable computing power in the cloud, ensuring that application performance is no longer limited by hardware capacity.

Handling large volumes of data securely and efficiently is critical to performance, availability, and value — building a strong digital infrastructure from Taiwan to the world.

Business Focus of VIDEO PAI

VIDEO PAI focuses on two main business areas:

1. Empowering individuals from various industries with video creation skills

2. Helping organizations build their own internal video production capabilities — both offline and online

Our value proposition includes three core pillars:

1. Learn Online

2. Coach Support

3. Modular Tools

The most unique feature is our "coach support" model — an intelligent feedback system built into the platform helps online coaches follow a clear SOP when guiding students through video project revisions.

Our edge lies in blending cross-domain talent, hands-on curriculum design, output-driven learning, and O2O hybrid teaching models. We've also forged strong partnerships with leading community platforms in Taiwan.

We are currently building an online learning platform to support both students and coaches, with plans to launch by Q4 2020. In 2021, we aim to release story-generation tools to help learners create videos faster. In 2022, we plan to introduce AI coaching features to optimize the feedback process.

With the arrival of 5G in 2020, VIDEO PAI is poised for growth. Our goal is to expand across five continents — bringing Taiwan’s creative strength to the world.
